Teacher — it’s who I am and what I do.
I began teaching when I was 15 years old. I’ve been teaching ever since (that’s a long time). I’ve taught figure skating and Rollerblading, high impact aerobics, step aerobics, and even hip-hop aerobics. I’ve taught strength training, HIIT training and for a brief period I taught The Slide (remember that?) And then of course there’s yoga and meditation. I teach people to speed up and slow down, to challenge boundaries and to let go. Most of all, I teach people daily bodymind practices and I teach people to commit to them.
I teach — it’s who I am and what I do and I won’t ever, ever stop.
Here’s why.
I teach because:
- You are worth it
- I believe in your potential to make our world better
- I see your brilliance even if you don’t
- I want you to feel great too
- I want you to trust your natural genius
- When you shine, I shine
- It’s more fun to dance together than to throw tomatoes at each other
- When you feel empowered, I feel empowered
- Sharing my journey to serve yours is why I’m here
- When you turn on light bulbs, I feel ecstatic
- When you wake up, I feel fully alive
- I cannot not teach
- I don’t know what else I’d do
I teach to inspire you to:
- Believe your life is priceless
- Remind you that you can’t get this time back
- Trust yourself more
- Wake up to what’s not working in your life
- Enhance what is working
- Listen to your gut
- Create a magnificent life experience
Most importantly, I teach because the world needs you to be your best self — like right now — and if I can support you in some small way to live fully and fearlessly so that you rub off on the rest of us, then I will have done my job as a teacher — for today.
